Marketing trends and best practices are always changing. It seems like just yesterday we were producing shiny brochures for snail mail. Then it was all email. Then email was dead. Then it wasn't. But when to send? Tuesdays used to be bad. Now they're good. 11 a.m. is best, but only on a weekday. So many rules. What's a marketer to do?

HubSpot's Cambria Davies and David Ly Khim analyzed over 20 million emails sent in 2015. They set out to answer the following three questions:
The answers might surprise you. I'll touch on a few key findings.

3. If you must send email on the weekend, make it Sunday.
And not just anytime Sunday. 9pm emails on Sunday have a 35% higher open rate than Sunday's average.
Bottom line - send your emails on Tuesdays at 11am. Can't wait to see what they find next year. (Note: Don't forget your website, landing pages, thank you pages, social media, blogs and outbound marketing too.)
